gas prices!!
It is a shame when you almost have to be rich just to get your vehicle from point A to point B. I can remember when I was in high school and getting gas for a dollar or less. Sometimes it was as high as $1.40 and I remember complaining that it was too much for a small town in southern Virginia. After living in San Diego for three years now looking back at that price it seems pretty good right about now. According to gasbuddy.com the average price for a tank of fuel is $3.15 per gallon. That is absolutely incredulous to have to pay that that much for SINGLE GALLON of fuel. One month ago today the price was $3.02 and a year ago today it was $2.85. I cannot believe that gas prices seem to maintain a national average above $3.00. It is making hard for the average Joe to fill up his tank on a regular basis. Not only that but with gas prices so high it starts to affect your wallet everywhere else. Something needs to be done now!! Not propose legislation for 10 years down the road, not next week, not tomorrow. It needs to be done NOW! The hard working middle and lower class of America will continue to suffer and get poorer until the Oil industry and the Government do something. Just a though, if you make it so the people who use your product eventually cannot buy it who is going to keep YOUR pockets getting fatter? Seems like bad business to me. Of course, I am just your average middle class hard working man trying to provide for a wife and four kids. Obviously I can afford to throw money away at the pump every time I pull up. Hey oil companies, that was actually sarcasm, maybe one day you will get the picture.
